Call of Duty: United Offensive — Connecting
How to connect to your Call of Duty: United Offensive dedicated server.
Requirements
- Call of Duty with the United Offensive expansion installed and fully patched.
- Your server's connection string from the uHost dashboard.
Via Console
The uHost dashboard shows your server's connection string ready to paste into the console. It looks like connect <address>:<port> where the address is either a uhost.run hostname or an IP address.
- Launch Call of Duty: United Offensive and open the console with
~. - Type:
/connect <address>:<port> - If the server requires a password:
/password <server_password> /connect <address>:<port>
Via Server Browser
- Go to Multiplayer → Join Game.
- Click Source and select Internet or Favorites.
- Use Add to Favorites and enter your server's address and port.
- Double-click to connect.
Port Information
| Port | Protocol | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
28960 (default) | UDP | Game traffic |
Ensure your client's firewall allows outgoing UDP connections to the server port.
Common Issues
- Version mismatch: Both client and server must be on the same patch version.
- PunkBuster: CoD:UO supports PunkBuster for anti-cheat. Ensure PB is updated if the server requires it.
- Missing UO expansion: Make sure you're launching United Offensive, not the base Call of Duty. The games use separate executables.
